Holy Family Daycare Covid-19 Guidelines
(Based on CDC, Wisconsin Early Childhood Association &
Racine Health Department)
Guidelines for Parents:
your child at home if sick with any illness.
mask is required at all times while on school premises (drop off & pick up

possible, same parent of designated person should drop off and pick up the
child every day. Older people such as grandparents with serious underlying
medical conditions, or pregnant women should not pick up or drop-off children.
temperature will be screened upon arrival. Children and persons with a fever of
100.4 F (38 C) will not be allowed to enter the school.
drop off and pick up your child without entering the classroom. Enter the
school premises from the playground. Find your child’s classroom door, knock at
the door and wait for the staff member to open the door. Before your child
enters the classroom (drop off time), staff member will screen your child:
check temperature, make a visual inspection for signs of illness (flushed cheeks,
rapid breathing, fatigue or extreme fussiness) and ask if fever reducers were
used. This extends the drop-off process, please be patient with us. After
screening a teacher will be taking your child inside. To avoid potential spread
of Covid-19 through contact with daily attendance sheets, staff members of each
classroom will do signing in & out for your child.
inform the lead teacher about the drop off and pick up time of your child so
she can anticipate your coming.
your turn if there is more than one parent dropping off or picking up the child
(playground side). Always maintain social distance (6 feet apart).
your child shows signs of illness during care (for example fever), you or
another authorized person will retrieve your child within 60 minutes. Fever
reducers will not be given to your child on any day of attendance, regardless
of reason for fever reducer.

you wish your child to wear face mask while at daycare, you can do so. Please
have your child put a mask on upon arrival. Mask should NOT be put on babies
and children under age two (danger of suffocation). Put on a face mask upon
your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Wash
hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going
to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or
sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer
that contains at least 60% alcohol.

The Holy Family Childcare Center is an independent, non-profit, full time child-care and preschool facility. It provides quality care and age appropriate education in a loving, stimulating, and secure environment. The Center is part of the outreach ministry of the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Family and operates on the Congregation’s property.The Center serves up to 40 children at a time, ranging in age from 6 weeks to 5 years.
